Awkward Haiku Recommends

Just watched Kathryn Bigelow's Hurt Locker yesterday.

Without a doubt, best movie I've seen this year. Procedure, not action, based. Not antiwar, but searing look at war and its effects (making it the most strongly antiwar movie there can be). Incredible performances, all the actors, especially Jeremy Renner, pull off the rhythms of male bonding like none other. It's beautifully shot--the handheld means something in this. It's suspenseful, funny, beautiful, and at times tortuous (in the best of ways).

The first 8 minutes
