Beau Mayne, Graves/Pessac-Léognan?, Bordeaux, Sauvingnon Blanc, 2010

I opened this bottle after a long day at work, thinking that I would just watch Conan and forget about it (I can open a bottle of white when I have to work early tomorrow). Forgetting about this is not what I did though.

Apricots on the nose and a little herb. Tastes as advertised, crisp citrus. On the finish the wine tasted a little green, but for a $10 bottle, I'm OK with that. Since the grapes have been sourced from different growers I can only guess that Beau Mayne came from Graves and Pessac Leogan. Judgging from the overwhelmingly apricot taste I am judging that most come from Pessac-Leognan.

Paired well with my Wendy's chicken sandwich.

ABV: 12%
Cases Made: A lot?
List Price: around $10
You are paying about $5 for the AOC on the label and it makes a difference.
