Benito Santos, Rias Baixas, Spain, Albarino , 2011

Tropical citrus, white flowers on the nose added to a light cream on the palate. Easily stood up to a stupid rosemary egg 'n cheese smothered burrito I made this morning. I was still a little hungry, so I grabbed some rice pudding from the fridge. That was the real winner. The acidity cut through the heavy pudding and turned it into a medium bodied mousse. Have yet to try Albarino with cheese cake, but I think the pairing is going be a winner.
